About making deposits

What is the minimum deposit?

The minimum deposit for the protocol is 0.05 Ethereum. However, please note that the reward payout has a sharing threshold based on network transaction fees. This means that the value of the rewards generated may take time to reach the minimum distribution threshold. You can see the “Rewards” section for more details.

How long does it take for a deposit to start generating rewards?

When a node is launched, it takes a while for it to start generating rewards (see “How long does it take for a node to start generating rewards?”). In our protocol, we offer clients the opportunity to accelerate their deposit to start generating rewards in less than 24 hours from the time the deposit is made. This is the “Boost!” plan. If there is no “Boost!” of Ethereum available, it means that all Ethereum locked in the protocol nodes belong to the users of the platform. In that case, rewards will begin once a new node is active and generating rewards. We will always have nodes queued in case all the available Ethereum is used, which means the time until your deposit starts generating rewards will be less than launching a node from scratch.

What is the difference between “Boost!” and “Regular”?

With “Boost”, you will start earning rewards for your deposit immediately. The queue to have a node active and generating rewards is volatile, but can be 30 to 50 days. Simply skip the queue with “Boost”. A “Regular” deposit into the Protocol takes around 15 days to become active and start generating rewards, which is less than half the time it takes for a regular node activation to start generating rewards.

Why is a setup fee charged when making a deposit?

The Set up fee covers the financial cost we face when having ethers locked in a node, waiting for a client to use them. It is a small amount on the deposit made (0.1% of the total deposit for “Boost” and 0.2% of the total deposit in the case of a regular deposit).

Right now it is 0%. Take advantage!

Can I add more funds to an existing deposit?

The Beta V2 version of the platform does not allow you to increase the amount of an existing deposit. But we already have an active function that may interest you: rewards in autocompound! For now, feel free to create new repositories. Payments are made by wallet linked to each deposit, so you will only receive one payment for all the deposits you have made with the same wallet.

Can I use different addresses to make a deposit?

Yes, you can use as many addresses as you want to make a deposit. Each deposit will be linked to your user and will have its own exit address. Since the outgoing address for each deposit is the same as the one that made the deposit in the first place, using different addresses is not a problem. Please note that output addresses are not modifiable. This address is linked to your deposit from the beginning and is the same address that generated the deposit.
